The Place - London
After 20 editions of Resolution!, the list of artists who first appeared in the season is a who's who of contemporary dance. They include Russell Maliphant, Mark Baldwin, Wayne McGregor, Charlotte Vincent, Jasmin Vardimon and Hofesh Shechter.
Resolution! is the only season at The Place open to application. Applications are invited from July-September each year, and selected works are shown at The Place as part of a triple bill the following January or February.
Companies performing in Resolution! receive full technical and marketing support, including three technicians for the performance and inclusion in Resolution! brochures. All performances are reviewed by established and emerging critics for the online magazine Resolution! Review and there is a series of professional development workshops for participants to complement and inform the choreographic process. Companies who have already appeared in previous Resolution! seasons (Evolution companies) may use Christmas studio rehearsal space at The Place free of charge.
